Lake Isabel is perfect for camping and fishing. It is located near Livermore, offers fine stocked trout fishing, including some trophy-size fish. Isabel also provides good action for largemouth bass, crappie and catfish.
From October through June, trout are stocked weekly. They range in size up to 10 pounds. Often, the average rainbow is in the 3/4 pound range.

The number of trout in the lake is kept high enough so that it is not difficult to catch your limit (5 for adults, 3 for children). Bass and bluegill fishing is best in the late spring.
Catfish are stocked from July through September, and provide excellent night fishing during the summer months. Hours vary by season, so call ahead. No fishing license is required, but there is a per person fishing fee.
